==============
Just got back!
Wow was Nats fun this year, I came down with my family and my friend Mateo. We Got there on friday and after hanging out with some of the yoyoers hanging out front of the hotel, we went to the plaza.
IMHO I liked the old plaza better and the park even more than that, but oh well, It was an interesting change.
I liked watching the 3A prelims. I placed 5th at Nats 06 in 3A last year in the finals so 3A has become something special too me.

It was nice to see Sky Kiyabu competing again since he hasnt been involved in yoyoing since 2004.
Yosshi's 3A is amazing. I remember seeing a long time ago at the Redondo beach pier trying to to learn Velvet rolls. Now he a crazy 3A mastermind.

I competed in 4A 3A and 2A that night. It was fun and the new stage was cool, Only problem was that it was hard concrete and my big yo doesnt bounce well on it. Oh well,

It seemed ok to Yosshi Mikamoto who still did his submarine 2A tricks even though it probably made his head hurt. (Ouch).
The crazy homeless guy who had to be taken away off the stage by the cops was around all day looking like he was making curses or something.
That guy was plain scary. There was a lot of homeless around but that guy stood out cause he seemed to be inching closer and closer to the stage throughout the freestyles.

It was cool getting to talk to Henry Dineen this year. I didnt get to talk with him too much last year. He is
awesome.
Our yoyo team 2yo was well represented this year.
After all the prelims, we went back to the hotel and hung out with all the yoyoers out in front of the hotel. I got to see Jonathan Feldman again who hasnt been in the yoyo community for a while.
What really made that night
awesome though was when Sterling Quinn got out his razor scooter and began pulling off amazing tricks. Bryan Figuroa then tried out Sterlings scooter and also pulled off some amazing tricks. That was
awesome.
On Saturday, I had to wake up early since our yoyo club was setting up a booth off to the side of the contest. I am sure most of you saw it, the big green tent.
My friend Mateo wanted an 888 so we waited outside of bird in hand with a large group of others waiting for the store to open for the 888's.
About 10 of us waiting.
Atomic Cow made everyone mad when he pulled out his 888 making everyone consider getting him and stealing the 888.
We all were thinking of ways to try to get in weather it be picking the lock, going through the ventillation system, or knocking politely, The knocking only got us a shake of the head by one of the workers who tried to entertain us by throwing a broom across the hall ad running after it.
When the doors opened, Everyone flowed into there like water and everyone had to be scolded by a worker not to madly grab for the 888's.
That proved to be the yoyo of the day. I almost didnt meet 1 person that day who did not have one.
My Uncle got to recruit lots of new members for 2yo that day, He helps out for the club so much and thanks to him, We are getting 6 new members!
I noticed a kid standing off to the side yoyoing by himself. I didnt know him so I went up to meet him. He was Chris Frasier and was an AMAZING yoyoer. He had seeded directly into the 1A finals from winning a regional. He also won the contest for his state!
Awesome meeting him
I ended up buying a Ka-os and a cool orange big yo. No 888 for me, I think its an ok yoyo, but I just think I really need one.
My 5A prelim went ok that day But no final for me.

I thought Ryan Gee (Who I found out I am kinda related too) should have been in the finals but he sadly was not. But his freestyle was one of the most entertaining of the day.

The finals that day were
awesome. the 5A was cool but my fave freestyles were the 4A. Wow. Some amazing skill this year. Bryan And Shane were
awesome awesomely
awesome. I wonder though. Why doesnt anyone care about Yuichi Tominaga? He is one of my fave 4A players but nobody cheers for his freestyles and no one records his freestyles! Whats with that?
3A was cool. Yosshi has gotten very good at 3A and it was cool to watch him. Kentaro rules as always, And Paul Yath and every 3A player...
2A. Wow. Joseph Harris blew my mind with his freestyle. It was so smooth!
1A. OK I gotta say Why did nobody cheer for Chris Frasier! I mean really! That kid is amazing! My And Tyler were like the only ones cheering whats with that!
Yuuki's 1A was the most revolutionary thing I have ever seen.
The Awards dinner was very fun, The line took way to long though, But it gave me a chance to see Matt Harlow do some
awesome 2A.
When I saw Eric Koloski get 2 burgers, i thought: You can get 2? Ok.
Wrong. After leaving with the food, I heard a guy say to the server, Hey! Look. You have to tell people only one burger ok?!?
Oops. Eric and Me are in trouble.....Well not really.
The awards were cool and Jon Rob and Jake Bullock were funny on stage. (WHAT!)
It was also cool to see James lac do some cool street magic tricks to Masanobu Iwata and Tsubasa Onnishi. Amazing!
That night outside the hotel, We were hanging out when Paul Han (who was using Jon Feldmans skateboard) had an idea to try to jump a yoyo case.
He grabbed the first yoyo case he saw without permission and gave the board to someone else who wanted to try the jump.
The kid who owned the case came over looking what was going on with his case.
The guy rolls fast forward, Ollies, WHAMM!! The board smashes into the metal case putting a big crack into it!

Everyone came over to see what happened. the kid was upset but Paul Han said he was going to replace the case and give him something nice. Hope all goes well.
The green triangle event was apparently good, I had to go to bed cause I was just way to tired and it was taking a long time to set up all the cameras and lighting.
the following day, the contest sight was so empty, A giant fountain replaced the place where the seats were only the night before. It seemed so odd that only a few hours before, it had been full of yoyoers and people hanging out and yoyo sellers and chairs.
I went to Bird in hand to buy a nats 04 Nemesis and see some people.

The main reason I got the Nats 04 nemesis was cause I saw it at BIH back in Nats 05, Then again at nats 06. This time I though: Why wont anyone buy that yoyo! I kinda felt sorry for it and bought it. Now its probably my new fave yoyo! Its very
awesome. I think I will be making a clip video of me using this great yoyo soon.
Then,we went to some Jamba juice to get some smoothies, And after saying hi to Stu and Dave, We drove the 3 hour drive back to San Francisco.
Nats was such an
awesome conest! Yoyo contest are always fun but this time just seemed even better.
Thanks to all that made this
awesome and a pancake contest happen!
Cant wait for nats 08!!!!
